In the wake of Gord Downie’s passing last year, many music friends and contemporaries paid tribute to Tragically Hip’s leader. Now, Jeff Ament of Pearl Jam has been spotted with a sewer of his own, thanks to a fan at a recent show in Spain. The image appeared online of Ament Sport’s black shirt which read “Gord Fucking Downie” during Pearl Jam’s July 10 performance in Barcelona. In addition, the fan-shot scene from the show showed Downie’s tee spotlight on the big screen, before Eddie Vedder took a “Come Back” performance for Tragically Hip’s leader and a close friend of Ken.

Jeff Ament was wearing a Cult t-shirt early in the Barcelona Pearl Jam show. Swapped it for a Gord Fucking Downie shirt worn by a fan. Very cool. Help us find that fan. The real story is even better..a fan was wearing it. Some photo evidence by Twitter user Mark Hebscher shows Ament. Wearing the Cult shirt earlier in the set, and you can see it below. The photo of Ament’s new theme also found a way for guitarist Hip Paul Langlois, who commented, “I love it. And I feel the same way.”. And he traded shirts with the fan. After telling a story about Gord and playing the song come back..had a friend at the show..either way..awesome to see them pay respect to Gordie.
