Nebraska’s NEMA emergency aid agency said that in the next two days, many of the state’s rivers will rise to new record heights, the National Weather Service said. The Elkhorn River in Waterloo surged to 24.6 feet high on Saturday, breaking a record in 1962 to 5.5 feet. NEMA also said that 17 locations in the state recorded record high floods.
