I genuinely loved it as an adult. The second one was kinda eh but I love Cars 3 about as much as the first. I’m 38 years and have kids, the youngest being a 3 yo boy. Farquaad is supposedly based on Michael Eisner. Apparently, Eisner and Disney screwed over Jeffrey Katzenberg in the early 90s, who later went on to create Dreamworks. There were so many sexual jokes that flew under the radar. The part where Lord Farquaad is in bed asking the mirror to show him, Fiona, again and the mirror gets a look of disgust. The Monsieur Hood’s song (I like an honest fight and a saucy little maid What he’s basically saying is he likes to get…paid). Watching it as an adult, they were pretty easy to see, so I’m wondering why my parents bought it for me. Oh for god’s sake Dorothy, you can’t be this slow. What is the best friend?

Had some time by itself at the beginning of November without much-animated competition, and now that Ralph 2 is out it definitely has some competition, but the Christmas theme is helping it hold on pretty well. Basically, the same release strategy Universal used for their Ron Howard Grinch movie and it worked for them both times. Internationally it’s looking a bit soft though, however it hasn’t been released everywhere yet. Because the Christmas season is the busiest time of the year. You also forgot that Spider-Man and Mortal Engines comes out 6 days before Poppins, with Bumblebee and Aquaman coming out 2 days after Poppins. This will be the holiday box office fight of the ages. However, I’m already certain that Mortal Engines is going to be a colossal bomb. Theaters have to keep each wide release movie for at least two weeks, but after that, they can stop showing it if it is underperforming or there are just better options.

Box Office Battle Royale. Guessing who’ll come out on top is very interesting. My friend made a bet that Marry Poppins Returns will win simply because it’s Disney, people and critic will love it even if it’s bad. My money is on Aquaman. I think Mary Poppins Returns is going to be the big winner. The original Mary Poppins is a movie that’s not only a classic, but it’s a movie that has entertained and enthralled generations, both young and old are going to be interested in this sequel, more so than any other Disney/family movie. Christmas is a good time to release a movie, but if one of these movies moved to the empty weekend, it would almost certainly make more than it would while competing with 4 other blockbusters. You know what’s the craziest fucking part about that to me? 2 of the movies coming out that weekend are Oscar-bait movies featuring Steve Carrell, and when they come out, some theaters might still be showing the other Oscar-bait movie featuring Steve Carrell.

Oh geez no I didn’t see that. Overall the problem seemed to be that people didn’t want to read it or really give a moment to consider it. Maybe we should just set up a voting thread for suggestions for good explanations and discussions from the sub? We can just add high effort posts and comments to the wiki as they come along.

No, sadly I’m not! Official Make insulin affordable again shirt. always intend to check out ASA since I’m usually at AAA but I never actually get around to it. If you’re ever in Boston though! Me too. I think there are some great criticisms of Benedict’s work on Japan. To be fair, of course, she never even went there. And was writing this from afar as part of her work for the US Gov’t during WWII. I don’t know that I could have done much better writing say about Iraq. And giving suggestions for their transition to democracy has never gone. It is fascinating how influential Chrysanthemum and the Sword both academically and in pop culture has been given its limitations. But anyway my criticism here wasn’t so much of the concept. Which would be a whole ‘another post, but the way this person is utilizing it.

As someone who got into a few T20 schools last cycle, Flag of the United States EMT Shirt.  this seems like an excessively strict list of minimums. I had very strong stats and a lot of time doing research, but otherwise no pubs, ~40 hours total volunteer time, and well below your clinical exposure cutoff. (Not URM also). It’s definitely doable without this resume. I knew this comment was coming but somehow it always happens whenever someone gives advice about top schools lol. Note that I said it’s a general rule because of course people get in without those bare minimums!

What does EMT mean?

Your case (very strong stats with excellent research) isn’t unusual, but it’s certainly not the norm either. The Core ECs (changed the term from bare minimum) I wrote is a general rule of thumb for an applicant who will as definitely as you can say with top schools get into somewhere in the T-20. That’s not to say that it’s a list of minimums as I went on to explain in depth later in the post. They are “bare minimums,” not actual minimums, so sorry I wasn’t clear. Seconding this. If you choose not to go into residency, Stanford is not as against the idea compared to other schools but it’s still a pretty small percentage in comparison to the number that goes into residency. Also, a friend of mine ended up doing a research year (which if I’m not mistaken, is funded by Stanford too and available for everyone if so desired) as well as an MBA. A research year (esp if the school is offering it paid) is common for Stanford med students.

Love Larry Elmore.  Technically, shipping Gloomhaven to Australia did not COST $10, it did cost way more than that. But you were only charged $10 for shipping because the rest of the shipping cost was covered by other means. I mean, just go and check the shipping rates of the Australian postal service. They charge AU$26.15 (about US$20.44) just for shipping that 9 kg Gloomhaven box within Australian borders, like from Melbourne to Sydney. Getting it there from China or the US costs even more on top.

But yeah, those shipping cost estimates they posted (even if they are correct without any discounts) was not helpful. But I guess they wanted to be as transparent as possible. Apparently, you can order more than one copy for the same shipping cost via BackerKit, that should bring down costs for group pledges, I guess. they claimed in the comments of the thing that they would lower the postage if they got over 150 orders in AU/NZ but didn’t give a figure, and wanted people to just back it anyway just in case. I think they also did a cost estimation for that scenario, and it ended up at around half of the original cost. Somewhat better, but a group pledge of 3 would still be a lower shipping rate, I guess. Or maybe convincing a store to go for a retailer pledge… 35 euro is still a lot of postage for a game that size which is already quite costly for what’s in it at 45 euros for the basic game with cardboard coins.
