I’ve been postponing awakening my Eiko to 7*, but just checked in the builder and she can actually get crazy high levels of SPR (1816 with my current equips, 1859 if I TMR a few other units I have). I read that Mechanical Heart overrides/competes with innate counters on the unit. So for units like Lillith or Demon Rain, it would choose per hit between counter A, B, and Mechanical Heart. So it could be a detriment in some cases if this is accurate, where you may want their innate counters to proc but Mechanical Heart hogs it.

When I used to use Mechanical Heart, I’m pretty sure I just had to unequip it because someone like Wilhelm would barely counter with MH. As opposed to other units like Ayaka who get back to full health with many MH counter procs, which makes sense in your understanding of it. she has TDW as well and has access tow-ability. if you need an imbue and don’t care about her MP, just slot an elemental weapon on her offhand and w-cast whatever you want.
