Yes I saw it when it first came out. It was a big hit but also something of a sleeper hit and was on at my local for about 3 months - it was definitely one people went to because they’re friends had seen it. Ok it was influenced by better films before it like Halloween and before that, Black Christmas, but it was a gory bit of fun Friday night hokum.
