Unfortunately, Trump as POTUS appeared to exhibit little understanding and/or willingness to learn anything about the region, the people living there, their culture, or the history of involvement by foreign nations ( such as the U.S) in stabilizing the country. We ( meaning the U.S.) have been there for 20 years, and we see the results of our ( failed) efforts. What is happening in Afghanistan now cannot entirely be blamed on Trump, Biden, or any of the preceding Presidents or administrations (IMO). It’s time ( again, in my opinion), to bring home our people, and let the Afghani people determine their own destiny as a nation.
