I would say that it’s very possible the aliens to have more advanced technology on the matter. 400 years is a amazing feat, and with the guy from Anchorage, we see that the aliens are able to freeze people for roughly 400 years, but if you look at the cowboy, the samurai, and the child, all of them have been frozen for hundreds of years, if not over 1000 in the case of the samurai. All of these individuals are successfully frozen without any complications from the looks of it other than the fact that they are incredibly confused when they wake up because everything they know is gone.
The young girl is a unique circumstance because obviously she isn’t frozen when we encounter her. I would say the best answer is that she was frozen for a period of time and after they thought her out for whatever reason, she was able to escape. Another possibility is that she was never frozen in the first place and has been hiding in the ship ever since her capture. I forget the exact details and I’m sorry for being too lazy to look it up, but I am confident that at least one of my answers is correct enough to satisfy the situation.
