A psychoanalysis produced by King academic circles showed that 87% of women and 65% of men compared themselves to images found on social media. There are efforts to stroke these negative effects, such as the use of the tag #instagramversusreality and #instagramversusreallife, that have been used to spread around body positivity. In a combined study, women aged 18-30 were shown posts using this hashtag that contained side-by-side images of women in the thesame clothes and setting, but one image was enhanced for Instagram, though the other was an unedited, 'realistic' version. Women who participated in this experiment noted a fall in body dissatisfaction. According to a study released in 2017 by researchers from the college circles of Pittsburgh, the belong to between snooze scuffle and the use of social media was clear.
