Podxmas-I’m the luckiest trouble maker I have the best partner in crime I call him Papa shirt

In drier periods, these alligator holes keep large swathes of wetland plants, fish and amphibians alive during Florida's periodic droughts. It is also possible that the loss of these alligator excavations could also negatively impact the amount of water filtering down into Florida's aquifers, which are already stressed by Florida's burgeoning population. Nor to mention that taking a walk by river or lake shore would become exponentially more dangerous. Alligators in the United States kill an average of about 1.8 people per year. The Nile Crocodile in Africa kills over 400 people per year. Absent the caution inspired in the crocs by the presence of their African competitors (mostly hippopotami) I fear the toll might actually be larger in the US. No, if the Nile Crocodile was introduced to Florida, I would not support importing hippopotami to control the crocs. Hippos kill more people than crocodiles do.
