If any damage was done to his eyes, it would be too late to do anything about it now. Fortunately, cats are less reliant on their eyes than humans. There wouldn’t be any pain, but he might act startled if the light had entered one or both eyes. I would never use a laser pointer as a cat toy (if that’s what you were doing); a cat will just as easily chase the white spot of light from a torch or flashlight, and that won’t do any damage if he looks into it. If you need to use a laser pointer, then keep the cat out of the room, but frankly, I’d put it in a drawer with the batteries out, and forget I had it.
