My cat Marley shakes hands. I trained him with a treat and a clicker. Hold the treat in hand and put it down in front of the cat. Say shake. When a cat lifts his paw and puts it on your hand. Click the clicker then give him the treat. It will take much practice to get your cat to always do this. Cats are food motivated, so he may never learn to do this without the treat. Always praise your cat and pet him along with treats. You slowly get rid of treats every time. You will need to give it part of the time or your cat will lose interest in this game.
