A clingy cat is usually an easily scared cat who is unsure of things but who greatly trusts you. Therefore the cat “clings” to the trusted person. Try to help develop the cats confidence. Give it toys to play with, play with the cat. Get the cat a big cat cage and let it spend time in there. It will learn to be more comfortable and less timid when its in a big cage with food, water, and things to play with.
