Cats kill even if they are well-fed. In fact, the fact that they are fed makes them more dangerous. Natural predators will move on from an area when the source of prey has been diminished. Since cats, including strays, are often fed by people they have no need to move into areas with more available prey and will continue to kill to the point of extinction.
