When you let him walk him, something you NEED to do for about 3 miles at LEAST a day, make him sit calmly at the door while you leash him. Put your hand on the knob and say Let's Go as you open the door. Make sure you go out the door first. Yes it actually does matter. When you bring him inside he needs to be sitting at the door calmly and Lets Go when you are ready to go inside. Make him sit calmly while you unleash him. If you get really good you can ask him to shake paws after he is unleashed. My Hoolie does that for me. Praise praise praise in the form of pets, tiny training treats and verbal praise will be essential.
