When you feed him, you need to make him sit and wait til YOU give him his food. What I do with my own dog is tell him Hoolie sit wait (some use stay I choose wait) I also give him the hand signals that means sit and wait. Then I get his food dish and walk over to put in his kibble and yogurt. If he gets up I make an ER noise and take him back to sit and wait. Once I finish making his food I put the bowl down. Then I tell him Hoolie go eat. That command to eat releases him from his wait command.
