All cats benefit from wet food. We recently interviewed a celebrity vet who told us that almost all cats are dehydrated. Wet food is a great source of hydration, especially for males who tend to be more susceptible to urinary tract infections. Wet food has less calories! We are seeing a lot of obese cats these days. While dry food is a great and complete diet, if they fill up on wet food twice a day, they will eat less of the dry food, which is where the majority of their calories come from. As our cats age, their digestion often gets more sensitive. They can also have a lot of issues with teeth and may need to have some extracted. For all of these reasons, wet food is especially beneficial to our seniors!
